"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
O Lord Jesus Christ, we worship You—the very form of God who emptied Yourself and took the form of a servant. Before Your humility, even unto the cross, I surrender my pride. Grant me courage to empty myself of all I cling to, as You did. Make this Lenten season a school of Christ's mind. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

As this Lenten season draws to its close, let me gaze upon the cross and confess: Your love is greater than my fear, deeper than my sin, wider than my limitations. Let me live within that love. God of justice and compassion, during this Lenten season, may our fasting not remain mere ritual. Open our eyes to see the oppressed, the hungry, and the naked around us. Give us courage to loose the bonds of wickedness, share our bread with those in need, and shelter those who have no home. Let our light break forth as the morning as we pursue true righteousness.
