"Return, O Israel, unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips."
-- Hosea 14:1-2

Easter has passed, and we enter a season of new beginnings. The prophet Hosea calls the people of Israel to return—not merely to retrace their steps, but to turn their hearts back to God. As we encounter the risen Christ anew, we too are invited to turn away from the sins and failures of our past. If the world's temptations and our own weakness have drawn us from God's presence, now is the time to return with His Word in our hands.
To return is not to go backward. It is to move forward with faith that the Lord removes all our iniquities and gives us new hearts and new lives. The most precious offering we can bring is not of animals, but our very selves—expressed through words of repentance and thanksgiving. This is how we truly experience the grace of resurrection.
Hosea grants us hope: the Lord welcomes those who return to Him. Our past need not define our future. Our failures, however great, need not separate us from His love. The resurrection of Jesus has given us the opportunity to begin again.
Let us now resolve to turn from all that has kept us from God and surrender ourselves wholly to the Lord. When we hold fast to His Word and approach Him, we shall discover blessings we never imagined.
🙏 Today's Prayer
O God, we thank Thee for granting us this hour in the grace of the risen Christ. We desire to return to Thee from the distance we have wandered. Forgive our sins, renew our hearts, and transform our lives. Guard us from the snares of this world, that we may follow Thee with faithful hearts. Let our lips overflow with gratitude and praise, and let our lives bear witness to Thy truth. By Thy Spirit, grant us daily renewal, and guide us to live in response to Thy love. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
