"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
-- John 14:6

When we are lost, we become afraid. When we are uncertain if we are going the right way, if we are making the right choice, people falter. The context in which Jesus spoke these words was the same. The disciples said they did not know the way, and Jesus answered directly like this.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. It is not merely pointing out a route. Jesus Himself is the way. It is not some path that I need to research and discover for myself, but rather that following Him is itself the way. The same applies to truth. It is not a proposition to be verified, but something alive in Him.
In the context of Easter, this saying becomes even clearer. The One who overcame death and rose again speaks these words. No one comes to the Father except through me. This is not a declaration of an exclusive fence, but a declaration of the perfect guide. There is no need to search for another path. The One who has already become the way stands before us.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Lord, who are the way, the truth, and the life, I thank you that when I am lost, you become my way. Guide me to follow you today, and on this path may I encounter the truth and enjoy the life you give. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
