The Lord's Prayer
📖 Bible Verses
📜 Meditation
The Lord's Prayer is divided into two parts.
First half (6:9-10) — Prayer toward God. 'Hallowed be your name' acknowledges God's holiness, 'your kingdom come' seeks God's reign, and 'your will be done' submits to God's purpose.
Second half (6:11-13) — Prayer for our needs. 'Daily bread' asks for provision, 'forgive us our debts' seeks forgiveness, and 'lead us not into temptation' asks for protection.
The Lord's Prayer teaches that prayer should begin God-centered and then move to our needs. First seek God's glory, then present our daily needs — this is the proper order of prayer.
🙏 Prayer
Our Father in heaven, thank You for teaching me the heart of prayer through the Lord's Prayer. I long for Your name to be honored and Your kingdom to come on this earth. Provide what I need today, give me a forgiving heart, and protect me from temptation. All glory belongs to You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Prayer Meditating on the Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven, help me understand the true meaning of prayer through the Lord's Prayer. Let my prayer not only seek my own needs, but first seek that Your name be exalted and Your kingdom come on earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Prayer for Daily Bread
Loving God, provide what I need for today. Fill me not only with physical bread but also with spiritual bread — Your Word. Help me be grateful even in scarcity and content with what You provide. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Prayer for Forgiveness
Holy God, forgive my sins. Just as You have forgiven me, give me a heart to forgive those who have wronged me. Fill me with love and forgiveness instead of resentment and hatred. Keep me from temptation and deliver me from evil. In Jesus' name, Amen.
