📜 Today's Meditation

"Verily, verily" — Jesus speaks with absolute emphasis. This is emphasis upon emphasis, a signal to listen. He declares that believers have eternal life, phrased in the perfect tense. Already completed, not yet to be received. This is the language of resurrection. A transfer has already occurred: from the realm of death to the realm of life. In the moment of faith, this movement has already taken place. Though we have not yet experienced physical death, spiritually we are already within life. This is the present meaning of resurrection faith.

With this, death need not be feared. For one already within life, death is not an ending but a continuation of the life that has already begun. Judgment too is not fearful. "Shall not come into condemnation" — this declaration rewrites the weight of my day.

If today feels heavy and weary, grasp this promise: I have already been transferred from death to life. From that place, I live this day.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Lord, I believe that I have already obtained eternal life and have been transferred from death to life. Let this faith be greater than my fear today. Before death, before failure, grant me the boldness of one who lives in life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
