Faith is not a solitary internal experience. The belief we feel in the depths of our hearts finds its completion only when expressed through our words. This is the truth of salvation that the Apostle Paul proclaims. A faith that believes only in the heart without verbal confession, or one that confesses with the lips while the heart remains distant, is incomplete.

Many believers are afraid to reveal their faith. Conscious of the world's judgment and fearing criticism, they remain silent. But confessing Jesus as Lord is more than personal courage; it is an expression of our love and gratitude toward Jesus, and simultaneously a declaration that our souls have surrendered completely to Him.

To confess with our mouths is not merely to speak words. It means to testify with our entire lives. How we speak, how we act, and how we treat others each bear witness to our faith. Confession that springs from the heart naturally manifests itself in our actions.

As August draws to a close, let us reflect upon ourselves. In the time that has passed, how faithfully have we believed with our hearts, and how well have we expressed that faith through our words and our lives? Complete faith is realized only when the heart, mouth, and actions are in unity. If we desire to be those who confess Jesus as Lord, then from this day forward we must confess truthfully with both heart and mouth, and live lives worthy of that confession.
