📖 Today's Word

📜 Today's Meditation

Throughout our journey in life, we often find ourselves bound by past failures and hurts. Previous attempts that ended in disappointment or memories of being wounded weigh heavily on our hearts. However, Paul delivers an important message to us: we must forget what lies behind. This doesn't mean erasing memories, but rather refusing to be captive to them. True spiritual maturity is not compromising with the past, but acknowledging it and letting it go.

We cannot completely erase our mistakes or wounds, but we can prevent them from determining our future. Paul says, "reaching forth unto those things which are before." This means moving toward the new days, new opportunities, and new hopes that God offers. We all have goals to pursue—whether material success, restored relationships, or spiritual growth. But beneath all these must lie a longing to draw closer to Jesus. "I press toward the mark" emphasizes that we must live with clear direction, with unwavering faith and steadfast determination.

Today, let us not be bound by yesterday's failures or successes, but quicken our steps toward Jesus. Before new challenges, before new opportunities, let us remember that high and holy calling that God has placed upon us. Our lives are not a continuation of the past, but a constant march toward God's purpose.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Gracious God, we thank You for the word You have given us this morning. We confess that we are often held captive by our past mistakes and hurts, unable to move forward. Forgive our weakness, and help us to face this day with a renewed heart. Grant us by Your Spirit the deep love for Jesus and earnest devotion that enables us to live each moment fully. Guide us that we may press toward the mark without wavering, steadfast in our faith. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
