"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
— 1 Corinthians 10:13

Our lives are filled with trials and tribulations. Sometimes unexpected difficulties arrive suddenly, and sometimes long-endured suffering weighs heavily upon us. When we feel a burden we cannot bear, we often ask: how can we overcome all of this?
Paul's letter to the Corinthian church reaches out to us in such moments of despair. God tells us that the temptations we face are not beyond our capacity to endure. This is not mere comfort—it is the faithful promise of the sovereign God of the universe. God does not abandon us; knowing our abilities precisely, He permits no trial beyond what we can bear.
What is even more remarkable is God's promise to provide a way of escape along with the temptation. Like one holding a torch through a dark tunnel, God Himself shows us the path forward. That path may not always be easy or near, yet its very existence gives us great hope. We are never trapped in a dead end.
When we grasp this truth, a remarkable transformation occurs in our hearts. We gain the faith to endure even within the trial itself. This is not possible by our own strength alone—it is the privilege enjoyed by those who trust in God. Standing upon God's steadfast love for us and His promises, we become able to overcome any trial.
Today, do you carry an unbearable weight in your heart? Remember this word: God is faithful. He has not abandoned you, and He has prepared a way for you. Before God, who knows your capacity precisely, you are sufficient to endure. Now find that way, and experience God's help along it.
🙏 Today's Prayer
O Lord my God, the trials I face sometimes seem beyond my capacity to bear. Yet through Your word, I receive the promise that the temptations given to me are not beyond my ability to endure. I thank You. In moments when I cannot stand by my own strength, grant me the ability to find the way of escape You have prepared for me. Fill me with faith to trust in You, and give me the strength to endure every trial. Lead me through this day to victory by Your faithful guidance. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
