We often judge ourselves by our imperfections. We compare our appearance, abilities, and accomplishments with others, feeling we fall short. But the psalmist tells us that the work of our Creator in making us is wonderful. This is not mere self-confidence. It is a confession that when God made us, He did so in a way that is filled with unfathomable mystery.

God has never made a mistake in creating us. Everything about us as we are—our abilities and our weaknesses—are all placed within God's plan and purpose. If there are aspects of ourselves that seem weak, they become pathways through which we experience God's grace. For through our weaknesses, the power of Jesus shines even brighter.

As we live through today, there may be moments when we wish to hate or reject ourselves. But in those moments, we must remember: God, who has made us this way, loves us. Within that love, we are accepted as we are, and every moment and experience of our lives is moving toward God's good purpose.

The reason we can affirm and be grateful for ourselves is not because of our own worth. It is because our Creator God exists. It is because His love and plan rest upon our lives. This understanding makes us humble yet confident, weak yet strong.
