📖 Today's Word

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

📜 Today's Meditation

The disciples of Jesus were anxious as they realized the day their Master would leave was approaching. In this situation, the Lord promised His disciples the greatest gift: that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, would remain with them forever. How comforting it must have been to know they would never be alone.

In our lives too come times of uncertainty and loneliness—moments when we fear the future or feel we stand alone. Yet the Lord has given us the same promise. The presence of the Holy Spirit dwells with us eternally. When we grow weary in this world's struggles, when we become confused about what is true, the Holy Spirit guides and comforts us.

As we journey from Easter toward Pentecost, we can experience anew the presence of the Comforter already promised to us. The Spirit of truth lives within us and guides us in every moment of thought and decision. What need we fear? We are not alone.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Father, we thank You and Jesus for giving us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. When we lose our way in this world, when we feel lonely, help us to experience more deeply the Spirit of truth who is always with us. Guide our thoughts in holiness and grant us wisdom in our decisions. May we find peace in the eternal companionship of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
