"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature."
-- Galatians 6:14-15

Even as Easter fades into memory, our hearts must remain rooted in its glory. The redemptive work accomplished through Christ's cross is not merely a historical event of the past, but a living power that completely transforms our present reality. Before that cross, we lay down all the world's standards and judgments, choosing to glory only in what the Lord has accomplished.
The world constantly whispers to us about what we should praise: our abilities, our achievements, our status, our appearance—each deemed worthy of boasting. Yet Paul speaks with firm conviction: all of these have been crucified with Christ. When we are crucified with Christ, all those grounds for boasting pass away with our old self.
But the story does not end there. When the old self dies in death, God creates us anew. This is not mere moral improvement or spiritual upgrade—it is a transformation of our very identity. We no longer live by our own efforts and judgments, but by the life that Jesus has lived through us.
This new identity transcends the world's divisions: circumcision and uncircumcision, Jew and Gentile, slave and free. The cross is where all such distinctions become meaningless. When we grasp this truth, we are liberated from the world's discrimination and prejudice, and we see all people as fellow members in Christ.
In this season of resurrection, God's invitation to us is clear: abandon the old and become new. As we kneel before the love of the cross, we experience true freedom and begin our life as a new creation.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Gracious God, I lay down all my boasting before Your cross. Forgive me for being measured by the world's standards, and turn my gaze toward the redemptive love You have accomplished. Let me never forget that I am crucified with Christ, and grant me to live each day as a new creation. Free me from the world's divisions and prejudice, so that I may embrace all my neighbors with Your love. Grant me to live this day in faith, held by the hope of resurrection. In Jesus' name, Amen.
