"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
— Proverbs 4:23

This passage from Proverbs, written 3,000 years ago, is surprisingly modern. In today's language, it's about "mental health management." Your heart—your mind—is the source of your life. Thoughts become words, words become actions, actions become habits, and habits become your life. Everything starts in your heart.
We don't realize how many negative thoughts pass through our minds daily: social media comparisons, news anxiety, regrets about the past... If we accept all of them, our hearts collapse. The key is choosing what enters your mind and what you block out. That's what "keeping" your heart means.
🙏 Today's Prayer
God, help me guard my heart. Give me wisdom to discern when negative thoughts arise, and help me fill my mind with what is good. Help me live remembering that a healthy heart makes for a healthy life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
