Autumn deepens around us. As leaves fall and the air grows colder, we feel the weight of our aging bodies. All things visible change with time, and sometimes our strength seems to fade. In the face of such change, we may find ourselves overcome by despair or fear.

Yet the apostle Paul declares boldly: "We do not lose heart." This is no mere positive sentiment, but a profound truth: though our outward self wastes away, our inner self is renewed day by day. Through our daily relationship with God, our hearts and souls receive fresh grace and restoration. What weakens without can grow strong within; what diminishes in appearance can deepen in spiritual wealth.

The sufferings of this world are truly momentary. However heavy our present afflictions may feel, they are light compared to the eternal glory they produce. This truth reshapes our vision. When we see only what is visible, present hardship consumes our perspective; but when we fix our eyes on the invisible and eternal, our trials become stepping stones leading to unending glory.

What captures our attention and hope must be the invisible, not the visible. Daily anxieties, worldly circumstances, visible failures—all are temporary. We must not be trapped by them. Instead, we live each day gazing toward God's eternal kingdom, walking in faith toward that destination.

This season, as leaves fall away, we too must release what is unnecessary and hold fast to what is eternal. God knows our weakness and uses it to renew and strengthen our souls daily. Therefore, we have no reason to lose heart. Amid the visible changes of today, we press forward toward glory that is eternal and unseen.
