Isaiah experienced the glory of the Lord in the temple and recognized his own unworthiness. God sent an angel to cleanse his lips and forgive his sins. Through this encounter, Isaiah truly understood what he needed and who he really was.
Then came the Lord's voice: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" This is not merely a question. The Lord awaits our personal response. He desires that we follow His will through free choice, not compulsion. Isaiah's answer was decisive: "Here am I; send me" — a commitment to serve the Lord as a new, cleansed person, despite his limitations.
This is true dedication. The same applies to us. Though our abilities or circumstances may be insufficient, if the Lord calls us, and if we are cleansed by His grace, we too can respond with courage.
Like the Chuseok holiday, this is a time to look at our families and communities anew. Could it be that we are needed by someone but haven't yet realized it? May you listen to the Lord's voice and become a person of faith who can boldly cry out, "Here am I; send me" without fear.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Holy Lord, standing before Your glory and holiness, I recognize my own insufficiency. Yet by Your grace, my lips are cleansed, and my heart is renewed. Show me what calling You have for me today, and grant me ears to hear Your voice clearly. I humbly ask for the courage to respond not with fear and doubt, but with faith and trust. Make me an instrument through which Your love and truth may be shared among my family and those around me. Amen.
