Lamentations 3:22-26
📖 Today's Word

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him."

📜 Today's Meditation

There are moments in our lives when darkness seems overwhelming and hope feels distant. When we feel lost in pain and despair presses upon our hearts, the author of Lamentations discovered something profound: God's mercy never ends. In the midst of that deep darkness, he found one unchanging truth—the compassion of the Lord is new every morning, and His faithfulness is extraordinary.

We often live between yesterday's failures and today's fears. Yet God's mercy covers our past sins and grants us a new day. Each moment, God holds us so we do not falter. This is the meaning of mercy that is "new every morning." As time passes, God's care does not diminish but grows even more certain.

The declaration "The Lord is my portion" represents a moment of profound realization. Many things in this world capture our attention, but our true portion is God alone. Wealth, honor, and health ultimately cannot satisfy us. Only in our relationship with God does our heart find true peace.

Therefore, even in difficult circumstances, we can wait for goodness and seek God with sincere hearts. The Lord responds to our patience and expectation with His goodness. When we place our steps of faith upon His mercy renewed each morning, we begin each day not in despair, but in hope.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Dear Lord, I praise Your mercy with which You awaken me each morning. Though I face yesterday's failures and today's fears, I believe Your faithfulness never changes. Help me not to be shaken by the many things of this world, but to claim You alone as my portion. Grant me faith to press forward through difficult days, hoping in You and seeking good. Let me live each day in gratitude and joy within Your renewed grace, and I pray that Your mercy would reach those who despair. In the name of Jesus, amen.
