The power of death is one of humanity's greatest fears. Before death, we feel helpless and often fall into despair. But Paul speaks to us with a voice of confidence: Christ has risen from the dead, and now death can no longer claim Him. This is not merely a historical fact, but a spiritual reality that fundamentally transforms our lives.

Resurrection is not Christ's victory alone. His resurrection gives all Christians the assurance of eternal life. We need not fear death because Jesus has already overcome it. Death is not an end, but merely an entrance to eternal life.

Whether under the intense midday sun of summer or in the darkness of deep night, we can hold fast to this hope found in the risen Jesus. Our life is eternally connected to the event of Jesus's resurrection. The certainty that death cannot overcome us enables us to live without fear, by faith in our present life.
