"All things work together for good." This doesn't mean bad things won't happen. Bad things do happen. Difficult times come. Confusing circumstances arise. But what it means is that God weaves all of these together into something ultimately good.

Look at a single puzzle piece alone—you can't tell what the picture is. But when all the pieces fit together, you see something beautiful. Life is the same way. Right now, some pieces might seem confusing or meaningless, but within God's greater design, every piece has significance.

However, there's a condition to this promise: "those who love God." When you live in relationship with God, all things are woven together for good.
