1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life... nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
📜 Meditation
The love the Bible describes is different from the world's love.
In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul describes love not as a feeling but as a choice and action. Patient, kind, not self-seeking — this love is impossible by human strength alone, only possible through God's grace.
John 3:16 shows the prototype of this love. God loved us first — enough to give His only Son, enough to endure the cross.
And Romans 8 declares that this love can never be broken. In any situation, through any failure, God's love never changes.

God of love, thank You for loving us first. Help us deeply experience that love and love our neighbors with it. Help us practice patient and kind love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
