📖 Today's Word

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (KJV)"

📜 Today's Meditation

When spring arrives, the world seems to shed its winter coat and embrace renewal. New flowers push through the soil, birds return from distant lands, and the air carries the promise of growth. God invites us into this same kind of transformation. He tells us not to dwell on our past failures, regrets, or the seasons of drought we have endured. The old things—the mistakes we cannot undo, the pain we cannot change—need not define our future. His promise is that He will do something new in our lives, something we may not yet recognize but which will come forth in its own time.

The beauty of this promise lies in its certainty. God does not ask us to manufacture change through sheer willpower or endless striving. Rather, He declares that He will make a way where there seems to be no path, and He will create rivers of refreshment in the desert places of our soul. The wilderness represents those seasons when we feel lost, when circumstances overwhelm us, and when our own resources seem exhausted. Yet in such moments, God's power becomes most evident. He works in ways we cannot predict or control, transforming barren ground into fruitful land.

As we journey through life's seasons, we are called to trust this divine work. Letting go of the former things requires faith—the willingness to release our grip on yesterday's sorrows and yesterday's triumphs alike. When we do, we make room for God's new creation. His fresh mercies are available each day, each moment, waiting for us to receive them with open hearts and renewed expectations. The God who made a way through the wilderness then makes a way for us today.

🙏 Today's Prayer

O Lord, I release to You the burdens of my past and the shame of my failures. Help me not to dwell on what has been, but to look forward to what You are doing in my life. Grant me faith to believe that even in my wilderness seasons, You are preparing a way forward. Make clear to me the new thing You desire to accomplish in my heart. Water my soul with Your living streams and guide me into the seasons of growth You have planned. In the name of Jesus Christ, I trust You to make all things new. Amen.
