"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
— Jeremiah 29:11

To understand the depth of this promise, we must know its context. Israel was captive in Babylon—their nation destroyed, their temple in ruins, their people enslaved in a foreign land. Yet in that darkest hour, God declared: "My thoughts toward you are of peace, not calamity." When circumstances screamed disaster, the Lord's heart spoke peace. His vision transcended what their eyes could see. If you face difficulty today, hold fast to this truth: God's thoughts are higher than what you observe. His peace surrounds you even when shadow covers your path.
🙏 Today's Prayer
O Lord, there are days when sorrow feels more real than peace, when the shadows seem deeper than Your light. Yet I trust that Your thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace, of a future and a hope. Strengthen my faith against the evidence of my eyes. Let me rest in Your invisible grace. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
