On New Year's Day, everyone makes plans. But be honest—how many of last year's plans did you actually keep?
This Proverbs passage isn't telling you not to plan. It's saying: make your plans, but remember there's Someone who directs your steps. When things don't go your way, it's not failure—it's God's guidance at work.
This year, make plans, but hold them lightly. Don't grip them too tightly. Leave the rest to God. Even if things flow in unexpected directions, trust the One who guides you.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Lord, I come before You on this first day of the year. I place all my plans for this year into Your hands. When things don't go according to my will, keep me from despair and help me trust in Your direction. Walk with me every step of this year. I pray in Jesus's name. Amen.
