📖 Today's Word

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

— Ephesians 4:31-32

📜 Today's Meditation

Throughout our lives, we all experience hurt from others—cutting words, abandonment, betrayal, and shattered hopes accumulate in our hearts. The deeper the wound, the harder forgiveness becomes. We rationalize our pain and convince ourselves that we cannot forgive the one who hurt us.

Yet consider how God has treated us. We have committed countless sins against Him, transgressions beyond measure. Yet Jesus bore all our sins on the cross and forgave us. This is grace we do not deserve.

If Christ's forgiveness has transformed us, we must become instruments through which that forgiveness flows. Before we point out another's wrongs, let us first remember how abundantly we ourselves have been forgiven. The greater the grace we have received, the more natural becomes our willingness to forgive others.

Forgiveness is not weakness—it is strength. Through forgiveness, by releasing the wrongs done to us, we break free from the prison of resentment and rage. Today, ask yourself: Who must I forgive? When we clothe ourselves in Christ's forgiveness and embrace one another in community, true peace comes to our lives.

🙏 Today's Prayer

God, I thank you for your grace in forgiving me through Christ. Grant me a heart to forgive others as abundantly as you have forgiven me. Remove from my heart all bitterness and anger, and give me compassion for others' weaknesses, that we may be kind to one another. Help me move forward not with resentment but with love, not with anger but with reconciliation. I pray this in Jesus's name. Amen.
