📖 Today's Word

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

— 1 John 4:7-8

📜 Today's Meditation

When we think about love, we often see it as a fleeting emotion. But John's declaration challenges us to see love as something far greater—it belongs to God Himself. This means that every act of genuine love we offer to another person is a reflection of God's very nature. Love is not a human invention; it is the fingerprint of the Divine in our relationships.

What does it mean that those who love know God? It suggests that love is not merely an emotion but a pathway to spiritual understanding. A person living in love naturally discovers who God is, while someone refusing to love remains spiritually blind, no matter how much knowledge or religious activity they possess. Love becomes the truest measure of our faith.

In our daily lives, love takes concrete forms: listening to a hurting friend, forgiving someone who hurt us, serving our family with patience, or standing up for the vulnerable. These simple yet profound acts create a real relationship with God. Through loving others, we come to know God more deeply and confirm our identity as His beloved children.

As you go through today, make a conscious choice to love—in word, deed, or presence. That choice is the very way you come to know God and extend His kingdom on earth.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Gracious Father, thank You for placing the gift of love in my heart. There are moments when I am weary or wounded, and love feels impossible. Yet You loved us first through Jesus, and I ask that His example would strengthen me. Help me to love those in my home, my workplace, and every person I encounter with genuine care and compassion. May my love not be hollow or performative, but real and transformative. Through loving others, draw me deeper into knowledge of You. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
