"O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways."
— Psalms 139:1-3

Often we feel anxious about how much we are known by others. But as the psalmist sings, God knows us completely. He knows not only our thoughts, our paths, and whether we stand or lie down, but also surrounds us before and behind and lays His hand upon us.
There are parts of ourselves we hide from others. Sometimes we are unwilling to reveal our weaknesses or fears. But before God, we need not hide. He knows even our hidden thoughts and motives, yet still loves us. This gives us freedom.
To be known by God does not simply mean to be watched. It means to be cared for and attended to, as a parent knows their child. He hears our prayers, knows our tears, and understands our longings. We are never alone.
When this faith deepens, our lives transform. We no longer strive to hide; we can become authentic before God. We find courage to acknowledge our weakness and seek help. And we learn to entrust everything to the One who knows us completely.
🙏 Today's Prayer
O God, I thank You that You know me completely. Though You know my hidden thoughts, my weaknesses, and my fears, You still love me. Help me to cast aside pretense before others and to stand before You with an honest heart. Teach me to surrender all things to You and to trust the One who knows me. Amen.
