📖 Today's Word

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

— Matthew 22:37-40

📜 Today's Meditation

The greatest commandments that Jesus presents to us are simple yet profound. To love God with all our heart, soul, and mind means to dedicate our entire being to Him. This is not merely a feeling, but a way of life that must be reflected in all our choices and actions. Even as seasons change and time passes, this love should remain the unchanging center of our faith.

However, Jesus makes clear that this commandment is incomplete without the love of our neighbors. We cannot confess to love God while ignoring those around us. To love others as we love ourselves calls us to deep self-reflection. When we examine how honest and warm we are toward others, we can understand how genuine our love for God truly is.

The statement that these two commandments summarize all the law and the prophets reveals the very core of Scripture. All the many complex rules and commands ultimately return to these two kinds of love. If we love God and our neighbors with sincerity, we will naturally find the right path within that love. As we begin this day, let us engrave these two commandments upon our hearts and ask God to make our eyes toward those around us warmer.

🙏 Today's Prayer

O God of love, help me to love You with all my heart. On this day, may all my choices, words, and actions be filled with love for You. Grant me also an abundant heart to love all those around me and everyone I meet as I love myself. Forgive me when my love for my neighbors falls short, and wrap me in Your love. Let these two commandments become the deepest source of my life, so that in all things I may follow Your will. Amen.
