We often feel ashamed of our weaknesses and try to hide them. The world demands that we be strong, that we control everything, that we never show vulnerability. But the Apostle Paul discovered a profound paradox: God's power is perfected in our weakness. This is not mere consolation—it is the fundamental truth of our spiritual life.

Paul repeatedly pleaded with God to remove his "thorn in the flesh," his suffering and infirmity. Yet God did not remove it. Instead, God promised that His grace was sufficient. This grace may not be the solution we desire, but it is what we truly need. God's grace sustains us through weakness and enables us to grow spiritually within our limitations.

This revelation transformed Paul's entire life. He learned to glory in his weakness because weakness is the stage where God's power shines most brightly. Just as clear glass reveals the purity of water within it, our weakness reveals God's power with unmistakable clarity.

We too can experience this truth. In our physical infirmities, our spiritual struggles, and our psychological limitations, God's grace works with greater force. We need not be perfect. Indeed, when we acknowledge our weakness and depend on God, we become truly strong. This is the paradox of the cross and the very heart of Christian faith.

Today, in the difficulties and weaknesses we face, Jesus still speaks to us: "My grace is sufficient for you." May we hold fast to this promise and experience God's power through our weakness.
