We worry about many things each day. What will we eat? How will we survive? What does the future hold? These anxieties fill our hearts. But Jesus teaches us that such worries belong to those who don't know God. As God's children, surely our Father knows what we need.

Our heavenly Father understands our need for food, clothing, and shelter. As Jesus reminds us, the birds don't sow or reap, yet God feeds them. The lilies of the field don't labor, yet Solomon in all his glory wasn't dressed like one. God cares for us. Our anxieties don't help us—they weaken our faith and turn our eyes from God.

Therefore, Jesus commands us to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness. This means pursuing a right relationship with God above all else, and living justly according to His will. Work, education, relationships, health—all that we desire—should come after making God's kingdom central to our lives.

Remarkably, the Lord promises that when we reorder our priorities, He will add all these things to us. This doesn't mean God ignores our needs. Rather, it means that when we seek Him first, He provides everything we require. When we make the Lord our priority, our entire life becomes blessed.
